Ralf Rangnick - briefly introduced


Ralf Rangnick is a soccer coach, sports director, and association manager. After studying his calling to soccer became his profession. Ralf Rangnick played for VfB Stuttgart, VfR Heilbronn and SSV Ulm 1846.

Ralf Rangnick obtained his soccer coaching licence in 1984. He then worked as a trainer for amateur teams, followed by the German soccer league (Bundesliga) from 1997 onwards. He achieved various successes in that period, such as several Bundesliga promotions, the German vice-championship, and the DFB cup triumph.

From 2012 to 2015, Ralf Rangnick was sports director at Red Bull Salzburg, and he worked in that position for Rasenballsport Leipzig from June 2012. With RB Leizpig he achieved the promotion from the regional league up to the 1st soccer league. In the 2015/16 and 2018/19 seasons, he also worked as head coach at RB Leipzig.

With the continued development and success of Red Bull, he held the position of Head of Sport and Development Soccer at Red Bull.
